The La Paz Bolivia Temple — one of three houses of the Lord in the central South American nation of Bolivia — now has an artistic rendering showing its exterior appearance.

Released by the First Presidency, the rendering was first published Monday, Jan. 22, on ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

The rendering shows the planned single-level temple of approximately 18,850 square feet with a central spire. With its location announced in August 2023, the temple will be built on a 3.8-acre site near Avenida Los Souces and Calle 8 de Calacoto in La Paz.

President Russell M. Nelson announced a house of the Lord for La Paz, Bolivia, during October 2021 general conferenceone of 13 locations identified at the time. La Paz is one of two capitals of Bolivia as the governmental headquarters of the executive, legislative and electoral branches; Sucre is the country’s constitutional capital.

The house of the Lord in La Paz is one of three dedicated or announced temples in Bolivia. The Cochabamba Bolivia Temple, the country’s only currently operating temple, was dedicated in April 2000. The Santa Cruz Bolivia Temple was announced in October 2020 general conference, with its location released in November 2022; no rendering for that temple has been released yet.

More than 220,000 Latter-day Saints comprise more than 270 congregations in Bolivia, where the Church’s missionaries first arrived in 1964.
